1 About HottBook

HottBook is a content discovery and reading platform that aggregates and organises manhwa, manga, and webtoon titles that are freely and publicly available on the internet. We do not own, produce, or hold exclusive rights to any of the content indexed on our platform.

2 Subscriptions & Payments

HottBook offers optional paid subscription plans that unlock enhanced features of the platform. Subscriptions are processed securely through Polar, our third-party billing provider. By subscribing, you also agree to Polar's Terms of Service.

What a subscription grants you:

• Ad-free reading experience across all titles
• Early access to newly indexed chapters and titles
• Access to curated collections and exclusive category views
• Priority search with advanced filtering by genre, status, and tags
• Faster image loading through optimised delivery
• Access to all future subscriber-only features

Billing terms:

• Subscriptions are billed on a recurring basis (monthly or annually, depending on your chosen plan).
• Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing period unless cancelled before the renewal date.
• Prices are displayed in USD and are subject to applicable taxes based on your jurisdiction.
• We reserve the right to change subscription pricing with at least 14 days' notice to active subscribers.

3 Refunds & Cancellations

You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account dashboard or by contacting us at legal@hottbook.com. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period — you retain access to subscriber features until that date.

• We offer a 7-day money-back guarantee for new subscribers. If you are not satisfied within the first 7 days of your initial subscription, contact us for a full refund.
• Refunds are not issued for partial billing periods after the 7-day window.
• Refunds for annual plans are assessed on a case-by-case basis after the 7-day period.

4 Content & Intellectual Property

HottBook is a reading platform and content aggregator. All manhwa, manga, webtoon, and comic titles displayed on the platform are the intellectual property of their respective creators and publishers. HottBook does not claim ownership over any indexed titles.

• All original content on this platform — including our interface design, logo, curation, and software — is owned by HottBook and protected under applicable copyright law.
• If you are a rights holder and believe content on our platform infringes your rights, please contact us at legal@hottbook.com and we will respond promptly.
• You may not reproduce, scrape, or redistribute HottBook's interface, design, or software without prior written permission.

5 User Conduct

By using HottBook, you agree not to:

• Attempt to bypass, circumvent, or abuse our subscription system.
• Use automated tools to scrape, crawl, or mass-download content from HottBook.
• Share, sell, or transfer your account credentials to other users.
• Engage in any activity that disrupts or interferes with the normal operation of the platform.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer or copy any part of our platform's software or design.
• Use the platform for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws.

Violation of these terms may result in immediate suspension or termination of your account without refund.

6 Age Restriction

We reserve the right to terminate access for any user we have reason to believe does not meet the minimum age requirement.

7 Disclaimer of Warranties

HottBook is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We make no warranties, express or implied, regarding the platform's reliability, uptime, completeness of content, or fitness for a particular purpose.

• We do not guarantee continuous, uninterrupted access to the platform or any specific title.
• Content availability may change without notice as we update our library.
• We are not responsible for the accuracy, legality, or quality of third-party content displayed on the platform.

8 Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, HottBook and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the platform — including but not limited to loss of data, loss of access, or loss of revenue.

Our total liability for any claim arising under these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid to HottBook in the 30 days preceding the claim.

9 Privacy

Your use of HottBook is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal data. By using the platform, you consent to our data practices as described in the Privacy Policy.

Payment information is processed entirely by Polar. HottBook does not store your payment card details.

10 Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time to reflect changes in our services, legal requirements, or business practices. When we make material changes, we will notify active subscribers via email at least 7 days before the changes take effect. Continued use of the platform after that date constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

The current effective date is always shown at the top of this page.

11 Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the platform shall be resolved through binding arbitration or in a court of competent jurisdiction, as applicable.
